The human computer interface helps to define computing at any one time. As computers have become more mainstream the interfaces have become more intimate. This is the journey of computer technology and how it has come to touch all of our lives

A history of User Interfaces, from Pascal’s Calculator, invented by Blaise Pascal to help his father reorganize the French tax system, to the the Typewriter of Christopher Sholes layed out in the familiar QWERTY style, from the Mouse invented by Douglas C. Engelbart, that was encased in a wood body and had only one button, to the first Graphical User Interface of Apple Macintosh, from the first iPod that introduces the wheel as a user interface to the iPhone and the multi touch interface.
